Investing in the Internet of things Master Classes

We organise Master Classes for investors of all types (seed, angel, VC) looking to learn more about the internet of things and meet potential co-investors.

What is the Internet of Things?

The Internet of Things (also referred as IoT) is the increasing use of cheap hardware to add internet and other types of connectivity to everyday objects. This connectivity allows entrepreneurs, designers, programmers & engineers to build new uses for those objects for different industrial or consumer applications.

Common examples included connected consumer products, measurable energy use on the grid and at home, smarter home security, remote and detailed health monitoring (also referred to as Quantified Self), measurable, responsive city services, measurable industrial applications and citizen-led data collection.

As this new field develops, so do the opportunities for early and later stage investments in startups involved in this field. (Google’s acquisition of Nest, Samsung’s acquisition of SmartTHings and Nokia’s acquisition of Withings  are some examples).
